Well, this is what happens when Exillior is forced to stay in and do nothing.

Part of this, you will notice, already has the paste off -- that's because I started doing it, then realised that I had to be somewhere else, so I took it off and ran to where I had to be... So that part was only on my hand for 10 mins.

Now I have to run because my train's in an hour and a half!

Enjoy! ;)

Time taken: 1h30min (it goes up halfway to my elbow)
Design: Vaishali (it was from a book, it's not my design)

i love it when the Henna stops just at the very tips of the fingers- almost like wearing a lace glove with cut fingers :D

i know that henna ink is mixed and the general process (a friend of mine has family in India and she came back with a celebration henna) but what do you actually use to APPLY the ink onto the skin (since details are so small) ???

is it a pen, a thin tub, some sort of thin brush??? :XD:

Then this is the one pattern in my gallery which will please you, since I otherwise tend to go right up to the tips of the fingers. :XD:

I personally use henna paste that's already mixed and put in a cone ready for use, and this is what it looks like: [link]

I know that some people use squeezy tubes. Back in my mother's time, they used match-sticks, and I've heard that some people still do it this way. I have no idea how they do it! :faint:

yeah those aren't that small ! i'd be smudging up the ink and smearing it :XD: but the tube thing looks really nifty and easy to you (of course i'm sure doing it still requires a lot of attention and concentration :XD:)

It's not as hard as it looks - you should definitely try it if you get the chance. C:

In the UK, it's actually easier to get than in many other countries. If there is a town/city close to where you are, they often have "halal" shops, the shops where they sell Indian/African/Pakistani food etc, and they usually have henna there, or if not, they can direct you to a place where you can get it.
